A Little Bit About Me
My first love of music came at age 7 when I began taking piano lessons. In high school, I fell in love with singing, started taking voice lessons and discovered a passion for musical theatre.
I went to Eastern Nazarene College to receive a degree in drama. I participated in the musicals, playing Yum Yum in The Mikado and Marion in The Music Man. After college, I performed in Lancaster, PA at Sight and Sound Theater. I also sang with The Tanglewood Festival Chorus, singing with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and soloed with The Boston Pops. I was also a church soloist for many years.
I then went on to receive my Masters in Voice Performance from Boston University and my certificate for teaching music for grades K-12. I have been teaching private voice and piano for 25 years. I also served as a high school choir director in Boston (my students sang at Carnegie Hall and the 2000 Olympics in Australia.)
Currently, I teach private voice and piano at my home studio. I also teach at several performing arts schools where I serve as Musical Theater Director, Director and Accompanist.
